We use the world leading CEDAR software created at the University of Cambrige for the removal of unwanted tape noise and clicks. Although there are now many types of audio restoration software bundles out there, in our experience none have come even close to the quality of CEDAR de-click and CEDAR de-noise.

Record Player

The key difference is that when CEDAR removes the unwanted noise it does not affect the overall sound of the recording whereas inferior programs will affect the overall dynamic range and make the track sound ‘hollow’ or ‘metallic’.

Over the years it has been indespensible to us, especially when the only surviving recording of a track is on vinyl!
